The conference was held 25-29 June, 2022, in Erice, Sicily and the award was conferred to Sebastian by the conference chair Giovanni Ciccotti. In his poster, titled "Deep learning for rare event sampling", Sebastian presented his work on enhancing transition path sampling simulations with machine learning methods, done in collaboration with Alessandro Coretti (U Vienna), Phill Geissler (UC Berkeley) and Christoph Dellago (U Vienna).
