The Art of Magnetism - Temporary Ornaments

13.04.2018

From 14 April 2018 until 01 July 2018, the team headed by Dr. Sofia Kantorovich (Computational Physics Group) communicates their research on Dipolar Soft Matter in an interdisciplinary art & science intervention at the “Naturhistorisches Museum Wien”.

In addition to explaining the science, the temporary exhibition provides visual insights through aesthetic perception of physical phenomena in a playful way. The collaboration with artists Bogomir Doringer & Bernd Oppl, Tarron Ruiz-Avila, Milan Mladenovic & Renate Quehenberger is oriented towards both, scientists and general public.

At the opening event, which coincides with the “Lange Nacht der Forschung 2018” on 13 April the artists and researchers involved will be at the museum to introduce the exhibits starting at 19:00h in Hall 1, Mineral collection.
