The cover of the November 07, 2016 issue of the Journal of Chemical Physics features an article by Emanuele Locatelli, Barbara Capone and Christos Likos, in which a novel coarse-graining strategy, suitable for mixtures of linear and star-shaped homopolymeric nanocomposites, is described.
The article offers a detailed description of a combined theoretical/ numerical approach, based on a set of transferable effective potentials, that quantitatively reproduces dynamical and thermodynamical properties of the aforementioned nanocomposites, while granting a remarkable computational gain.
